I posted this a few weeks back. I thought I'd try again since I'm still
having this issue.
Can anyone help?

----------

I am trying to implement diff scanning from the CLI and am having some
problems. I have reviewed the documentation titled "diff scans," created
the .nessusrc file using the gui and transferred it over to the CLI nessus
client. The reports look identical to the "standard" scans. That is they
show all the information, instead of just what has changed. Has anyone
used diff scanning from the CLI? If so, any suggestions will be
appreciated.

FYI: I have run multiple instances of the scan to populate the kb. The kb
looks good. Also the kb is set to expire every 10 days (864000 sec).

Thanks

Script syntax is as follows:

/usr/local/bin/nessus --output-type=text -c /home/nessus/.nessusrc -q
localhost 1241 <uid> <passwd> <target file> <report dir>/<scannername>.
`date +%j`

.nessusrc file contains:
<snip>
diff_scan=yes
kb_restore=yes
save_knowledgebase=yes
</snip>
