Anyway, this was not a good question. It is in the FAQ, and the answer is "no!". Porting Nessusd on Win32 is possible, right. But... 1. Maintaining both version (Unix & Win) would be a pain in the back. 2. The mailing list throughput would be multiplied by ten. Can we cope with that? 3. This would make Nessus even more popular among script kiddies. I suppose that one can recompile it under the Cywin environment. You'll need a packer sniffing library, e.g. winpcap, but you'll probably lack a few functions. Anyway, this will be very slow, because of Cygwin fork implementation. And I guess that the next question would be "I cannot install Cygwin, when is a Win32 native version scheduled?". -- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG Public keys: http://michel.arboi.free.fr/pubkey.txt http://michel.arboi.free.fr/ http://arboi.da.ru/ FAQNOPI de fr.comp.securite : http://faqnopi.da.ru/ - [EMAIL PROTECTED]: general discussions about Nessus. * To unsubscribe, send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe nessus" in the body.
