Let me know which options and we should be able to find a way to
maintain compatibility.  The only recent change I can think of offhand
is that when no scan options are selected and it is running with root
privileges, a SYN scan is done instead of connect().  If you wish to
specify a connect() or SYN scan explicitly, you can still use -sT or
-sS respectively.  The new --min_parallelism, --packet_trace, and
IPv6-related options have been added, but that shouldn't cause any
compatibility problems as they did not exist previously.
