Yesterday I needed to test only web servers, so I disabled all plugins
and enabled only HTTP-releated. I've noticed that there is a pluging
OS_detection (so not only in prefferences for NMAP). When I switched of
also this plugin and of course OS detection in NMAP, (and all NIDS
settings and plugins), NESSUS was able pretty well to scan only port 80
(and maybe very few otheres :-( ... I have to restrict other plugins to
allow only port 80). So maybe this can help.
