Possible stupid questions: 1) Has anyone tried this using "sudo [nessus|nmap] <blah blah blah> ??" This is *slightly* different in that some of the environment stays "you" while the exec() is root.
2) What do some traces show (a. la. "tusc") ? 3) (*really* stupid question) What packets get out/don't get out as non-root / root ? Just curious, Jim H.
