I don't believe the NSR (or NBE for that matter) format is really
intended for viewing.  But it does provide a nice, compact form for scan
results that is perfect for sorting / editing / importing into tools
(eg, Excel, the nessus client itself) for conversion into more
user-friendly report formats.

One simple method is to use the nessus commandline tool. For example,
to convert results in NSR (results.nsr) to HTML w/ pie charts, run:

    nessus -i results.nsr -o results.html_graph
