the ./configure script always exits with following errors:
checking for ANSI ioctl definitions... no configure: error: see the INSTALL for more info configure: error: ./configure failed for libpcap-nessus
I followed Andrea Ghirardini's install install howto as closely as possible. The only differencs are, that fink seems to install fine by now (i.e. I followed their install instructions instead of Andrea's), that I used Nessus 2.0.10a instead of 2.0.9 and that replacing the instance of "#include <arpa/nameser.h>" in "hg_dns_axfr.c" no longer seemed required (although I tried both ways!)
My path seems to be okay as well. Echo $PATH returns
/sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin:usr/ local/sbin:usr/local/bin
Other information: Mac OS X 10.3.3 build 7F44, Darwin 7.3.0 Fink 0.7.0
Any idea what is happening?
