I installed XCode 1.0 from the Panther CDs and updated via Apples
"Software Update" to XCode 1.1 (1.2 seems not to be an Option?!)

usr/bin/ contains gcc gcc-3.3 and gcc3

I suspect that gcc is version 2.95, and that I'm using that version
since

which gcc returns gcc

Try "gcc --version" to get the version information. Yours should show
something like:

# gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)
Copyright (C) 2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

PURPOSE.

Check, I get

gcc (GCC) 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)

BUT is that the right one to use, or do I need to change it? How?

If I do need XCode 1.2, where can I get it? I found plenty of news about the release of the seed but no downloadable sources from Apple!

Found Xcode 1.2 :) but won't install it until I know if I SHOULD...

Christian

Thanks
Christian
