Offline Scans Broken Still

I was under the assumption that the broken offline scans with 2.2.0 were fixed in the CVS and consequently be in 2.2.1. I'm still experiencing the SIGSEGV error when I try to do them with 2.2.1. Does anyone have any suggestions?
