Hi there -- I am in the process of setting up a schedule for Nessus to do periodic scans of a group of servers. To accomplish this I wanted to devise a method to best accomplish this. My initial plan is to have Nessus read from a file that I would create a list of the servers to scan. Several questions come to mind:
1. What should the format of the file be ie: text created via emacs, vi, etc. 2. Is it better to use the ip addresses, the FQDN, or a combination of the two. The scheduling that is to be done, I was planning on using Inprotect to accomplish this. Before I can do that, I wanted to have the list of servers file created.
