OK, if that is the only way of doing it, it will have to be done. A bit tedious... and full of irony... - Security principle: Don't install what you don't need; don't install tools that can by used by intruders etc. (like a fully featured development environment) - Security principle: Check what you have installed for vulnerabilities But to do that I have to install a load of tools that I don't need... ... but quicker than you can say "compact-flash-read-only-file-system-limited-space-ram-drive-low-power-mini-itx-system-forget-about-tripwire-alarms-why-on-earth-do-I-want-gtk2-and-a-load-of-libraries-I-don't-need-forget-about-installation-audit-trails-fingerprint-databases" I'll start installing a fully featured development environment. Now you've made me sound all whiny.. and I've only just started ;-). So I won't even mention that after uninstalling my nice working distro RPMs and running sh nessus-installer-2.2.5.sh it fails to compile.... prompts to save a log of the thousands of lines of messages.. but doesn't actually tell you where that log is. But I know how to use "find", so that's alright! thanks, Ian, being somewhat sarcastic but not really as grumpy as he might sound. > > > -- Renaud > > > _______________________________________________ > Nessus mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [email protected] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
