I was wondering what the status of the "MacOS X Version" plugin was (12521).
Based on the source I see at
http://nessus.org/plugins/index.php?view=viewsrc&id=12521, it looks like the
plugin hasn't been updated for a while. However, I don't see a replacement
plugin for it. I find a bunch of ones that do specific checks for <10.4.3
etc. Those however appear to rely on "ssh_get_info.nasl" which I think means
I need access to the machines I'm scanning. As I'm working in a college
environment, I don't have access to most of the student machines, but I need
to be able to do basic network security audits. As the information is being
supplied via Rendezvous/Bonjour, I was hopeful that there was a plugin like
12521 that was up to date.
