Which version / platform? And if it's not 3.x, how did you install it?

To what extent does this involve running nessus-update-plugins? In other
words, can you replicate the issue without running it?

Are you experiencing any other performance issues when you run a scan
with all plugins enabled (eg, host- or network-based)? +How many targets
are you trying to scan? What are you settings for max_hosts and max_checks?
