If I scan a Windows machine with admin credentials and all Windows plugins enabled, I get hundreds if not thousands of lines of information not indicating vulnerabilities. So I really want to turn off selected plugins. Working in this mode, there's nothing in the interface to distinguish between new plugins and old plugins that I have deliberately disabled. > > Why does the report list IP addresses in the left pane when I scan by > > machine name? > > I need to check this. That's probably because a reverse lookup on the > IP does not work, but I'll get back to you on this one. All of the machines I am scanning have static IP addresses. Forward and reverse nameserver lookups both work. I should add that the report interface in the new client is a vast improvement over dumping everything into an Internet Explorer window. _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [email protected] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
