It relies on the Net-SNMP manager pieces (most specifically the perl
modules) and doesn't need the agent at all for the management station
portion.  If you want to manage a host without an agent on it, then
you can use the Net-SNMP agent but the net-policy project doesn't care
what you talk to.

Probably because we're not OS-X experts.  You need to help *us* ;-)

The FAQ details how to remove only the pieces that are broken, rather
than being stuck with --mini-agent I suggest you try and compile
everything you can and only remove the pieces that fail.  It'll take a
bit of work to sort it out though.
