Probably because we're not OS-X experts.
apart from the fact that i don't believe that the info/bug i'd posted is *solely* an OSX-unique issue, and does (apparently) involve net-snmp's interaction with other open source apps/functions like ipv6, bind (?), etc. ...
You need to help *us* ;-)
i've been trying to do exactly that, to the extent i'm capable. i've offered to help repeatedly. i've posted extensive info on the bugs. i've specifically identified *where* the problem lies, what it takes to reproduce the issue, and have norrowed down the dependencies fairly well from a LARGE range of available options.
short of learning all about your code, and becoming a net-coder that won't need to ask for help in the 1st place, what else can i provide?
without the participation of *someone* here, it's not gonna get fixed my just lil-ol-me.
slif's been *absolutely great* on/offline ... and has been the only one (so far) who has responded/shown an interest/had the time in resolving this ... but has made it clear that to get this solved, someone's gonna have to participate from net-coders.
to that specific end, he suggested that i:
(1) post to the list (i did) (2) petition some support (i did), and, (3) post as much info that i can independently glean both here and to the bug (i did).
please let me know what else is expected/needed? =)
