Yupp,

mib2c is great for special agents that will do special things if a value is set by 
snmpset or get all the data direct in the agent from the OS. I will write a agent with 
agentx that will be a interface between a database or xml file to snmp.
If this is the right way, I will see in the next days (months, years :-)) )

You mean like "mib2c" ?
You might find it more profitable to look at building on that,
rather than writing something completely from scratch.
