That's not a bad idea.
I'd probably prefer "app" rather than "type", but that's a relatively
minor thing.  The basic concept is reasonable.
[Which is probably about as positive as you're likely to get from me!]

But I'm not at all sure that it's sensible to try and rush this into 5.2.
We're slipping later and later....
