Once Robert and Alex had pointed out that it was just tweaking a header file, then that just left the question of the release candidate to full release transition. If we're pressing another RC tarball, and are prepared to let things slip a week, then I'm fully behind getting this particular bug fixed. (It also allows me to get a couple of documentation fixes in, which I might not have risked if going straight to the full release!)
