Hi, I gather from the archives (and other sources) that this feat of daring has been attempted before, but I cannot ascertain whether anyone has succeeded.
I perceive that there is now a renewed impetus to make net-snmp available for QNX as with the latest release of OS (6.3.0) QSSL decided to pull the SNMP support from the core modules and they now sell it as part of an additional "Extended Networking" package. Needless to say it costs megabucks, which is fine for the big corporate customers, but for the small operator, requiring only a limited number of runtimes (like me) it's way outside my budget. My initial attempt to build the package has been reasonably successful. I encountered much the same problems as have been reported previously, and I have hacked my way through them, or commented-out a few small areas in order to achieve a (nearly complete) build. So, please respond if you have succeeded in porting and running net-snmp on any version of QNX 6 and/or if you are interested in getting the package 'officially' adopted for QNX.
