Wes - would you have any objections to 'mib2c.int_watch.conf' being switched to a scalar-based approach? I'm actually wondering whether we ought to provide a set of "netsnmp_register_*_scalar" routines as well. They're not strictly necessary (since the watched_scalar handles this situation perfectly competently), but many people seem happier using the single-call APIs. > and make the instance helper a simple wrapper around the > scalar one I'm not so sure that this is appropriate. The scalar helper works better as a wrapper round the instance helper - not the other way round. I don't believe that the instance helper is particularly useful - but I don't think that we should actually change the functionality.
