fyi, you can functionally disable it by setting the log size to 0.

I'd agree there should be an option to turn it off.  However, I don't
consider it an equal case.  A master agent is opening a port and
listening to it.  A sub-agent is trying to find a master.  Two totally
different cases.  I think it's useful to have it on by default, which
actually allows you to examine the v3 user table, eg, on a live trapd.
