Robert, my next question relates to the initialisation of a MfD-based table. I think I've got a reasonable grasp of the basic flow of control through the initialisation code, and I understand how the final 'container_init' routine might be used.
But I can't immediately grasp the purpose of the preceding 'init_data' routine, and haven't been able to find an example of how it might be used. The example code talks about being the "sole writer" to some file - but I'm not sure quite what this is referring to. Can you throw some light on what the purpose of this initialisation routine is, and how it relates to the 'container_init' routine?
