I tried both versions in the computer where the client is but the program is still unsuccessful. Do you think that the snmp version 5.1.3.1, or 5.2.1.2 shoul be installed where the agent is?. Because I don't have control over that and I think that it will be impossible.

This problem sounds supiciously similar to one reported
last year, where changes in the engineID (and/or boot times,
etc) weren't handled up properly by client applications.

Checking the logs, that fix was merged into 5.1.3 and
above - but wouldn't have been present in the 5.1.2 code.

It might be worth trying with a more recent release - either
5.1.3.1, or 5.2.1.2
