First of all I apologize for being on older version of ucd-snmp. I am using version 4.2.3 on RH 7.3.
While configuring SNMPv3 user accounts in snmpd.conf, I am getting following error if I use names for OIDs. My sample entry in snmpd.conf is rouser foo noauth iso When I restart snmpd daemon, I get the error "ucd-snmp[17039]: /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 412: Error: bad SUBTREE object id" I saw this problem being discussed in May 2002 on snmp-coders mailing list but did not see the resolution. Was it a known issue with version 4.2.3? Or is there a work around? Thanks. -Ajay ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
