in the case of 10 and 39:

Initially I thought this might be a timing issue. When re-invoked by hand the
test passes. I thought the test harness may be looking for the pid file before
it is created....but the invocation from the test did not create a pid file at
all...there is nothing in snmpd.log or snmpd.log.stdout.

case 34
had good pid file and nothing in snmpd.log or snmpd.log.stdout.??

I re-ran the tests a few times...and got varying results of failures...different
number of failures, different tests fail...so it looks like the agent is not
coming up sometimes...but leaving no clue as to why...

what do you get for repeated 'make test'?
