Well, I *think* Dave was not being completely serious in making this proposal,
and I think his goal was more alignment of library number with release number.
I really like the idea, as it kills 2 birds with 1 stone. But I think a bump
of 1 is going to be the easiest to get everyone to agree on.

So Dave, do you really think we should go this route (eg 540), or were you
just throwing it out to see what the reaction would be?
