I was going to simply leave this to Yaniv, but the two of you have caught
my interest.   I've printed out the ID, and will have a look at it this w/e.

Yaniv - don't let my expression of interest stop you working on this.
I'm not going to be able to do anything significant for a week or more
anyway. If we both have a look at how to implement this, it might be
worth comparing idea later next week, and see where we've each got to.


This takes me back a few years to the GetCols and OID compression
work around the time of the London IETF.  Shame I didn't push harder
for that to be included in the Net-SNMP source.
   Wes, Robert, Thomas et al - what would your feelings be about
including this sort of extension into the main Net-SNMP distribution?
(via an explicit option to 'configure', of course).
