Our specifcation indicates the Host Resources MIB should be supported for our
hardware box. Lets take the "hrDevice table" as an example. Our hardware box
has some hard drives in it which I would like to enter into the hrDevice table,
but I am not sure how to go about doing this.
Knowing the Host Resources MIB is implemented in the Net-SNMP-v.5.4.1 package
already, I am assuming the base NetSNMP package code must be updated to call an
API routine (which I create) to get hard drive information so the hrDevice
table then can be populated correctly.
Will someone please get me a quick overview of what types of code file updates
are required to populate the hrDevice table with my hard drive data? Possibly
a tutorial exists showing how a table should be updated? I can then hopefully
use this table as an example of how to populate the rest of the HostResources
MIB tables as well.
** I have only dealt with MfD tables so far and the hrDevice table does not
look like it has been created with the MfD confgiuration file via mib2c.
