First thing - have you tested to see whether these drives are being picked up already, or not? (And if not, then why not?) The Host Resources implementation should recognise hard disks automatically. If it's not seeing them, then what devices do these drives appear as? The init_hr_disk() routine includes a selection of /dev patterns, which the agent uses for detecting hard drives.
