I'm very happy to hear you're planning on updating the patch.  That's
wonderful news.

Really the only concern I think we have is surrounding making sure that
the proposed patch leaves the DISMAN mechansim in place for non NETLINK
compatible machines and ideally that NETLINK compatibility is detected
at configure/compile-time.  IE, the patch shouldn't assume a recent
version of linux will be the only linux used (eg).

Other than that, the functionality is well desired!
