Hi Dave/All, In my current implementation I can not upgrade the netsnmp. I have some questions here :
1. Is it really required for snmpd to go for a reconfig for SIGHUP signal ? 2. What if the SIGHUP signal handler is modified as to do nothing ? 3. Is there any patch for this to solve the issue ( error on subcontainer '' insert (-1)) Regards, Raja -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dave Shield Sent: Friday, August 28, 2009 1:39 PM To: Raja Manjit singh (WT01 - Telecom Equipment) Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: error on subcontainer '' insert (-1) 2009/8/28 <[email protected]>: > I am getting below messages on screen and snmp stopped responding for > snmp queries when i send SIGHUP signal to snmpd. > > Reconfiguring daemon > NET-SNMP version 5.3.0.1 restarted This is a fairly early version on the 5.3.x line. I believe this problem has been addressed in later release. Please upgrade to 5.3.3, 5.4.2.1 or the upcoming 5.5 release.
