Howdy folks, Just a quick inquiry to see if anyone in the net-snmp team is looking at (or perhaps leaning towards) NetBSD as a target. I've been asking around in the NetBSD and pkgsrc communities for quite some time now and no one seems to have a solution to some issues specific to the platform.
While the pkgsrc version compiles and runs quite happily, the responses from snmpd apparently are not querying the appropriate sysctl's in some places. (The specifics of which are somewhat beyond my comprehension thus far.) More details are explained in some of my previous post(s).[1] Any insight or suggestions would be most welcome... hosts sans snmpd make for rather hit and miss monitoring / management. (Mostly miss.) Sincerest thanks, Mike.
