I have a feeling that the '--enable-ipv6' option is not purely (or even primarily?) concerned with use of the IPv6 as a transport layer. It seems to also be related to the choice of MIB modules included within the agent. (which is my recollection of its primary purpose, though I could well be wrong) Which is not to say that phasing out the need for this option isn't a good idea anyway. Just that we need to be clear about exactly what will need to be handled.
