Hello Dixon, A modified version of this patch has been checked in on the v5.5, v5.6, v5.7 and master branches (http://sourceforge.net/p/net-snmp/code/ci/4503fd15677706b03a8e69214304506b47ecba9d/). One possible way to test the large_fd_set feature on HP-UX is to run the regression test for that feature (e.g. by running (cd testing && ./RUNFULLTESTS -g unit-tests)). Further feedback is welcome.
