Version 5.7.3 was released in December 2014, long before this
conversation started. Please verify whether the source tree that can be
obtained via the following steps works properly on HP-UX:
$ git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/net-snmp/code net-snmp
$ cd net-snmp
$ git checkout V5-7-patches
$ git log snmplib/large_fd_set.c | head -n10 | tail -n5
Merge branch 'V5-6-patches' into V5-7-patches
* V5-6-patches:
