Hello,

Regarding SNMPv3 USM.

The Net-SNMP stack uses hash algorithms such as MD5/SHA1 which are a bit old
and are prone to vulnerabilities.
Similarly the stack uses encryption algorithms DES/AES128, whereas AES1292 and
AES256 are expected to be more secure.

1. Is there any release in pipeline from Net-SNMP ?
2. What is the procedure if we can work based on the existing architecture and
contribute back to open source community ?

Please share your thoughts.

Thanks,
Pavan
