That's probably an invalid trap. Is there something else on the network generating SNMP traffic? You should be able to instruct your SNMP manager to ignore these.
>We have Solaris system with installed net-snmp (it sends traps to SNMP manager installed on Unix machine). >In /var/adm/messages we often see next messages: May 18 11:12:51 gw.kubangsm.ru snmptrapd[3161]: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] 10.40.34.148: Enterprise Specific Trap (.0) Uptime: 37 days, 23:54:14.06, SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.5555.3.4.0 = STRING: "check .1.3.6.1.4.1.5555.5.123.1 60" Does this message say that there is any error? Or it simply means that some trap was sent? Why is it daemon warning? If this is normal message, how can I tell daemon to not send these messages in /var/adm/messages (are there any parameters)?
