Turns out I've got the same problem on one machine (Solaris 8, sun4m)(it works fine on Solaris 8 sun4u). I've tried the openssl on sunfreeware. I've tried compiling openssl from the latest up-to-the-minute source. The file is in the expected location. I've run crle and updated it so it believes in it. But I still get the same error message as others... >ld.so.1: /usr/local/sbin/snmpd: fatal: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: open >failed: No such file or directory It would be nice to use the static libcrypto. Failing that, I need to update the README.solaris to explain how to compile openssl with the shared lib.
