to initiate a write on some oid I used the following command:
snmpset -v3 -u user -l authPriv -a MD5 -A xxxxx -x DES -X xxxxx \
localhost HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrFSLastFullBackupDate.1 \
s 2004-10-0,8:0:0.0
The object hrFSLastFullBackupDate should be accessible for writing, because
of the definition in HOST-RESOURCE-MIB.txt.
VACM-Settings for user 'user' are the following:
group RWUser usm user
...
view all included .1
...
access RWUser " " any priv exact all all none
