Hi Andy! Thanks for replying.

If I recall correctly some (or maybe all) of the >> processor information is not implemented on Linux. I am aware of the fact that support for the various MIBs differs from OS to OS. That's a big part of my problem. My boss says "It works on Solaris, so it *must* work on Linux." Since SolarWinds does not tell us what OIDs are being read, it is difficult to determine where the problem is. >> I am not sure that there is a way to tell within the running >> applications. The issue is that we are seeing values in the SolarWinds database for a Linux machine that do not match what top or vmstat are saying. "Since it works on Solaris, it has to be the Linux agent". :-( My boss is basically saying somehow the SNMP agent is writing to some OID somewhere on the system, and it is my job to figure out exactly where (i.e. which OID). I have had a call open with SolarWinds for two days now and they are still not able to tell me what OIDs are being used (despite paying $10,000 for it). Ya just gotta love proprietary software!
