Since SolarWinds does not tell us what OIDs are being read, it is difficult to determine where the problem is.
The OIDs are easy to find out. Either run snmpd on the linux host in debug mode (e.g. with "-Ddumpx_recv") or capture the traffic between the two hosts with a sniffer (e.g. Ethereal).
