Nope. MIBs define objects and types. If both sides already know what an OID means, there is no need for a MIB. MIBs are usually for humans. JAA> Now I wanted to check whether the Values I sent were stored in the MIB JAA> or not. So i Tried RETRIEVING the values using GET OPERATION. If you want the agent to respond to queries for the object sent with a notification, you have to implement those object in the agent just like any other object. -- Robert Story; NET-SNMP Junkie Support: <http://www.net-snmp.org/> <irc://irc.freenode.net/#net-snmp> Archive: <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum=net-snmp-users> You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different. ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
