But what do you want to say about the memory?

Remember that traps are concerned with reporting *changes* -
reacting to things that have happened.   They're not there
to simply retrieve information.

If you want to find out how much memory is on a machine, then
use "snmpget" or similar.  If you want to be told when the
amount of memory falls below a given value  (or more likely, the
free memory available)- *that* is where a trap could be useful.
