I'm running Solaris 2.8 Version 5.1.2.
My NMS is polling a var which causes the net-snmp agent to spawn a
"defunct" process. I'm persuing this with the NMS vendor to clarify what
it is they poll. But clearly the net-snmp agent should not spawn a
defunct process. I want to report this as a bug. Can someone point me to
how I would do this?
Please either run the net-snmp agent in debug mode during the polling or, if you can't, at least capture the offending SNMP query packet(s) with tcpdump or ethereal. Then, please submit the full bug report to
