Hi,
i talked a bit about this in a previous mail but it was not clear and
not in the subject of the mail so i write a clearer new one.
First, I'd like snmpd to watch if some values in the system have
changed. I know how to do this for things in MIBs, but how could i do
this for a number in a file ? Is there a node of the ucdavis MIB that
allows to do this or should i write a new MIB and a new module ?
Then i'd like to use the monitor rule in snmpd.conf (i compiled with
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB), but at present my snmptrapd can't see any
traps/informs sent by my agent appart from notifyRestart or
notifyShutdown and v1 traps. I followed the snmpd.conf manpage.
Finally i'd like to know how i should do to change traps/informs conf
dynamically, because i'd like to be able so send snmp messages to the
agent so that he reconfigures himself, for example to send a trap if
there is less than 10% free memory and not 20% as it was before.
Thanks a lot for any help
Kind regards.
Maxime
