Hi Dave,
Excuse my doubts , but i´m not an expertise snmp man.
I read in the snmpd.conf manual , in the site that you sent the link to me,
this :
"linkUpDownNotifications yes
will configure the Event MIB tables to monitor the ifTable for network
interfaces being taken up or down, and triggering a linkUp or linkDown
notification as appropriate.
This is exactly equivalent to the configuration:
notificationEvent linkUpTrap linkUp ifIndex ifAdminStatus ifOperStatus
notificationEvent linkDownTrap linkDown ifIndex ifAdminStatus ifOperStatus
monitor -r 60 -e linkUpTrap "Generate linkUp" ifOperStatus != 2
monitor -r 60 -e linkDownTrap "Generate linkDown" ifOperStatus "
And I verified the snmpd.conf in the machine and I can´t find this options,
i have some questions:
Where can i field this fields??? Where can I set this option??
Is it in the DisMan event Mib?? If Yes, where can i find this mib???
BR,
Paulo

Have you read the section of 'snmpd.conf(5)' entitled
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB SUPPORT
or
ACTIVE MONITORING
(depending on the release)? In particular, the description
of the directive "linkUpDownNotifications"
