I did apply the patch, that was my point. I've got some developers
from work here checking into why the new binary may not have the
patch in even though it should be. Thanks.

Please "make distclean" at the top-level, configure && make again and run

  agent/snmpd -DALL -f -Le

from the source directory (not under gdb) instead to make sure you're really calling the freshly compiled one.
