[ First - *please* don't mail me privately, without copying
any responses to the mailing list. I don't have the time
or inclination to offer private, unpaid, SNMP consultancy.
Keep discussions to the list, where others can both learn
and offer advice. Thanks. ]

Ish - "iquerySecName" is for internal queries - hence the name.
Yes, internally this uses SNMPv3 to actually make the request,
but that is completely separate from how *you* query the agent.

If you are making use of the DisMan Event MIB (either directly
or via the 'LinkUpDownNotifications' directive), then this *does*
require SNMPv3 internally. It doesn't work over SNMPv1/2c.

You *MUST* create a suitable SNMPv3 user (with the necessary
access rights) - as documented in the man page. You don't have
to make use of this yourself, but the disman processing requires it.
