I compiled without passing additional mib configuration options to the ./configure script and it's a Linux box so it *should* be using the newer if-mib rewrite by default (this is a 5.4). The versionConfigureOptions gives a no instance so no way of checking that. If I set the cache to expire things work as expected and new values are retrieved for any cache I set to expire. The IF-MIB mib definition file mentions it's an updated version of the mib-II definition with addedd extensions, but I'm not sure if this actually relates one-to-one with the compiled in if-mib version.
